her eyes widened and she looked at him,"what are you talking about?"
he smiled an annoyingly cute smile,"you know exactly what im talking about," he said and got out of the jeep.
her and nick both got out of the jeep. she grabbed brians arm,"brian..."
he turned around and smiled at her,"...see its true..."
"come on you guys, the park is opening!" nick said.
emma dropped brians arm,"im not done with you..."
he grabbed her hand and pulled her in the direction of the gates,"...nothin else to say baby girl."
they paid their way into the park and started walking down mainstreet. "okay, where should we go first?" kevin asked.
emma started walking towards one of the mainstreet stores,"...the candy shop."
brian tugged on her hand pulling her back over to him,"...thats the last thing you need this early in the morning...lets go to the haunted mansion!"
"i wonder what would happen if we just fed those two candy all day," aj asked as they followed brian and emma to the ride.
kevin rolled his eyes,"...that would just be really REALLY scary..."
as they stood in line for the ride emma leaned over the side and called down to the people getting out of the cars,"hey you guys, was it fun?"
aj and amanda started laughing, nicks jaw dropped, and kevin and brian just kept talking as if nothing had happened. "oh yeah! lots of fun!" some of the people called back.
she smiled and turned around,"what?" she asked nick who was still watching her with his mouth open.
he shook his head,"ive never seen anyone do that...just start talking to total strangers."
she shrugged,"...its more fun that way...okay you know what...im really going to hate this..." emma said as they crowded into the big elevator in the mansion.
brian rolled his eyes,"em, youve been in the one at disneyland..."
"yes and i kept my eyes closed during that one too..."
"ill protect you," nick said in a deep superhero voice.
she looked at him and tried not to laugh,"...uh huh..."
they got in the little black bucket cars and started the ride. emma kept her eyes closed and nick kept trying to convince her to open them. when she opened her eyes, the ride suddenly stopped. she screamed and grabbed nicks hand. it was silent for about five seconds before they heard someone laughing.
her eyes widened,"brian thomas littrel!! you are SO going to get it!"
she heard brian laugh again and the ride start up. nick looked down and realized she still hadnt let go of his hand but decided not to say anything. when they finally got off the ride and she let go of his hand.
emma walked up to brian and hit him hard in his arm,"you are SO not funny you idiot."
he laughed and nodded,"yes i am...come on...more rides." he grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the ride to the next one.
they spent the next 12 hours roaming around the park, riding everything and the guys stopping and eating everything. by the time they were ready to go both the girls were dead tired just from keeping up with the guys. aj was carrying amanda on his back while nick carried emma.
"hey guys, can we stop in this store real quick?" nick asked as they walked back down mainstreet to the parking lot.
"blondie..."amanda whined.
nick rolled his eyes and walked into the store. "nick put me down..." emma said.
"...why?" he was enjoying carrying her and didnt want to put her down.
she laughed,"i want to get some candy..."
"k...but i get to carry you to the car," he said. he set her down and walked off.
nick knew exactly why he wanted to come in the store. he wandered over to the stuffed animals and looked around until he found what he was looking for. it was a big pooh bear holding a heart. he had noticed her eyeing the pooh toys the whole day and he wanted to buy her one. he thought this one would be perfect. he walked up to the cash register to pay for it and saw kevin standing there talking to the cashier.
"sorry to interrupt kev..."nick said setting it down on the counter.
"no prob...nick, this is daisy...she remembered me from when i worked here," kevin said smiling at daisy.
she smiled,"yup...way back when he was aladdin." she rang up the bear and put it in a bag for nick.
"hey daisy are you busy tomorrow?" kevin asked as they were about to walk out of the store.
"i have to work in the morning but i should be done by one, why?"
"well were having a barbeque tomorrow and i was wondering if you wanted to come..."
she smiled and nodded,"yeah...id like that."
kevin smiled and gave her the directions to brians house. him and nick walked out of the store. "hey kev, carry this for me...i dont want emma to know i bought it yet," nick said handing kevin the bag.
kevin took the bag and smiled,"your already buying her gifts...thats so sweet."
nick rolled his eyes,"its nothing bi...whoa!" he said as emma jumped on his back.
she laughed,"sorry, didnt mean to scare you...want some candy? i got shocktarts..."
"yeah but i cant move my hands cause i dont want to drop you."
"here...open your mouth..." he opened his mouth and she dropped a couple shocktarts in. about a minute later he was on his sugar rush running to the car with emma on his back laughing her head off.
"hey amanda, what if i just started running off like that?" aj asked as the rest of them followed them.
she yawned,"...do you really want to find out?"
"...ill just walk..."
kevin watched nick,"...god...i get tired just from watching them two..."
"kev...your old as dirt, watching snails makes you tired,"brian said rolling his eyes.
kevin gave him a look and he just smiled,"so, ill see you guys at my house tomorrow," brian said as they got to the car.
they all nodded and headed to kevins car. brian got in his car and headed home with nick and emma in the backseat arguing over who got the last of the shocktarts. about 15 minutes later both of them were fast asleep, emma with her head resting on nicks shoulder and nick with his arm around her. brian looked in the mirror and smiled to himself.
