nick sighed as he watched emma packing, "are you really sure you guys are well enough to leave today?"

she laughed, "yes nick. dr. kevin said were okay to head up to the lodge."

he pouted, "I know but I dont think you guys are."

she smiled and sat next to him, "were only going up the mountain for three days. then we'll be back in florida with you guys."

"yeah...i guess..."

"and you guys can come see us up at the lodge."

"yeah...okay. well...um...can I give you a good bye kiss?"

she laughed, "I havent left yet."

"then a pre-good bye kiss...."

she laughed, "oh okay, that makes more sense."

nick smiled and kissed her softly

"ewww...."

the two of them jumped apart and looked up. emma frowned, "what do you want amanda?"

"not to see you two making out, thats for DAMN sure," amanda said.

nick rolled his eyes, "then leave the room mandy."

she rolled her eyes, "yeah okay blondie. anyways...emma lets go."

emma nodded and stood up. nick sighed and stood up. he picked up emmas stuff and followed her downstairs.

"hey...how come they get to kiss?" nick asked seeing faye and kevin kissing on the couch.

emma laughed and grabbed his hand, come on." she pulled him out to the car and he put her stuff in the back.

she smiled and closed the back door, "thanks."

he nodded pulled her into his arms, "you have my pager number right?" she nodded. "and my cell?"

she laughed and nodded, "yes and the number for here. now...can we finish what we were doing upstairs."

he smiled and kissed her again.

"ewww...."

emma sighed and nick made a face, "go AWAY aj."

"nope, cant," aj said and went to put amandas stuff in the car.

emma sighed and glanced up at nick who was glaring at aj.

"im just gonna check the car one more time before you guys leave," kevin said as him and faye came outside.

"since when does kev know about cars," aj mumbled.

nick hugged emma a little tighter to keep her from getting cold, "theres something wrong with it right kev? they shouldnt leave yet..."

kevin shook his head, "nope...cars fine."

nick pouted, "the oil and everything? are you SURE?"

kevin rolled his eyes, "nick...would you like to check the car out yourself?"

nick looked like he was about to answer but kevin shook his head, "that was a rhetorical question."

nick frowned and looked down, "I just want emma to stay a little longer."

emma smiled and kissed him on the forehead.

amanda rolled her eyes, "can we go now?"

kevin nodded and opened the door for faye to get in, "call us as soon as you get up there so we know you got there okay."

faye nodded and got in. amanda rolled her eyes and got in the drivers side, "yes father, anything else?"

kevin gave her a look, "oh you are SO funny."

"im gonna go with them," aj said.

"okay, bye," kevin said.

kevin nodded. aj pouted, "but you would miss me right?"

kevin thought about it for a second, "um....nope."

nick rested his forehead against emmas, "and your leaving me here with THEM?"

she laughed, "well I wouldnt mind if you came with us."

he smiled then pouted, "but kev would..."

emma sighed, "then...im gonna be on the phone with you alot."

nick nodded and looked up then back down at her, "okay...im getting my kiss before you leave. I dont care if amanda wants to leave."

emma laughed and leaned forward to kiss him.

"OMG YOU GUYS!!!"

emma jumped and banged her forehead against nicks chest. he glared at brian, "what frick?!"

"theres...snow...hurry...inside..." brian said trying to catch his breath.

"yes brian...were up in the mountains."

brian shook his head, "no...lots....hurry..."

"...what..."

howie came around the corner, his eyes wide and his face pale, "avalanche..."

"....what did he say..." kevin asked.

howie was about to respond when they heard a loud rumbling. kevins eyes widened and he grabbed faye out of the car and ran inside, dragging brian with him who seemed to have been frozen on the spot.

"...I wanna see..." aj said.

amanda shook her head, grabbed his hand and pulled him inside with howie.

nick looked at emma wide eyed, "the kiss can wait." he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the house.

"wait nick...i can run in these shoes."

he could hear the rumbling getting closer. he picked her up and ran into the house, kicking the door closed behind him.

"nick get away from the windows!"

he ran further into house and ducked in one of the rooms where and found the others in there.

"are we okay in here....?" amanda asked.

"we should be...theres no windows and were pretty far back into the house," kevin said.

emma glanced at brian who was still a little pale, "are you okay...?"

brian nodded but was shaking slightly. she walked over to him and hugged him. nick glanced at them then poked his head out of the room. his eyes widened and he quickly stuck his head back in.

"its coming...."

he was cut off by the loud rumbling and house shaking as the snow hit the house full force.
